Columbia men’s basketball falls in rankings; women’s team drops out

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College men’s basketball team (19-4, 12-3 American Midwest Conference) on Tuesday dropped to No. 15 in the NAIA top-25 rankings, losing two spots after splitting two home games last week.

The Cougars beat Lyon College, but fell to then-No. 5 Freed-Hardeman on Saturday.

The women’s team (15-7, 11-5 AMC) fell out of the rankings after sitting at No. 24 a week ago. It lost to then-No. 20 Lyon College and No. 1 Freed-Hardeman last week.
