COLUMBIA — The Hickman High School boys track team placed 14th out of 50 teams in the Festus Early Bird Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Senior Andrew Pieper finished second in the 300-meter hurdle and third in the 110-meter hurdle races. Classmate Kyle Leftwich finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdle and the Kewpies 4×800-meter relay team placed sixth out of 50 teams.
“We competed really well,” coach Stewart Johnson said. “This sets us up for a really good spring.”
Rock Bridge and Muriel Williams Battle high schools also participated in the meet. Battle’s boys team finished sixth overall.
